NICE-PAK ANNOUNCES 2020 GLOBAL CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT

Pioneer in the production of wet wipes marks new phase with first global report

ORANGEBURG, NY, September 24, 2020 – Nice-Pak Products, a pioneer and global leader in the production of wet wipes, today announced the publishing of its first global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report in collaboration with sister company, PDI, a global leader in infection prevention products and solutions. The report, Together for Health and Life, covers worldwide performance and efforts across Nice-Pak, Nice Pak International, and PDI.

Climate Week, an event that brings together companies and governments to collaborate and showcase climate action, serves as a backdrop for the release of the report, the latest in the companies’ longstanding commitment to transparency. The report marks the beginning of a new phase of corporate social responsibility for Nice-Pak.

“Each year we touch consumers of our products more than 100 billion times. We take every opportunity to educate customers, consumers, families, and communities to help promote the health and wellness of people and the environment,” said Robert P. Julius, Chairman and CEO of Nice-Pak.

“Nice-Pak’s mission to promote and protect human health and wellness, and the health of our planet, is even more important in this unprecedented time,” said Deb Fillis Ryba, Global Director, CSR and Sustainability, Nice-Pak/PDI. “This report is the result of the tireless efforts our employees, and we are both proud and grateful for their collective hard work.”

For four generations, the family-owned businesses, Nice-Pak and PDI, have been dedicated to product quality, leading-edge research and development, and excellence in customer service. Three strategic pillars that ground the companies’ CSR vision are outlined in the report:

Advancing the health, safety, and wellbeing of our associates, our customers, consumers, and communities through our products, workplace standards, and social and ethical standards.

A commitment to sustaining our environment through innovation and continuous improvement across all stages of the product life cycle.

  • Supporting communities economically and socially with an unwavering commitment to improving every life that we touch.

As part of the effort, the companies have formed a governance structure that includes a CSR steering committee to develop and manage working groups across the organizations, to prepare them for the next decade of social responsibility.
